The Woman in Me by Britney Spears

If you were a girl growing up in the 90s / early 2000s, you more than likely idolized Britney Spears like myself. She was the first concert I went to as a kid and I was also lucky enough to see her again during her Femme Fatale Tour.

It was heartbreaking listening to her audiobook. Although Britney didn’t narrate it herself, the narrator did an excellent job. Now, I don’t believe it was Britney’s intention for this, but I finished this book feeling hatred towards her family, Justin, Kevin and everyone that hurt her.

I’m thankful Britney chose to tell her story and I can’t imagine the emotional strain she had to relive to do so. But because of her strength she has shined a light on how people can misuse conservatorships to take advantage of people.
