Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing by Jessa Hastings

Thank you thank you thank you for not making this book a retelling of the Magnolia Parks second book! I am pleasantly surprised and feel like I am getting so much more from the characters in this book.

I was already really liking Julian from Magnolias Long Way Home but now I must say I have fallen for him! If I wasn’t so strongly team Magnolia and BJ I’d be wanting Julian to win Magnolias heart. The more I like Julian though the more I feel sad that he feels and well really can’t have anyone special is his life without the risk of putting them into danger. He deserves so much more. When he says “In another life I reckon I could have loved you” and Magnolia responds with “In another life I would have let you”, it nearly killed me and that will be stuck with me forever.

Also, I I feel like I got so much more from Daisy and Christian. I love their connection, they had me giggling and cheering for their relationship to work. I also loved their dynamic with Julian and Magnolia. I got a whole new side of Magnolia in this book too and I loved it.

If a song could describe Julian’s character it would be “Girls” by the kid LAROI.

“You’re Central Park at midnight” 🖤
